Everyone Needs A Little Help Now And Then...

A common response for a family when one of the members has been diagnosed with mental illness is to experience helplessness, confusion, anxiety and not knowing where to turn.

Stigma.
Even after decades of research and increase access to information, the stigma and mystery surrounding mental illness remains the greatest barrier to public understanding.

As a family member and/or advocate you may blame yourself for the mental illness of your loved one. It is important to remember that although the environment and social factors play a role, mental illness is a biochemical disorder. We also want you to know that today more than ever before recovery from mental illness can be a reality.

Referral.
If you or someone you know needs help, please browse our website, or call (808) 737-2523.
