Mission.
Mental Health Kokua offers homeless outreach and therapeutic day rehabilitative social skill building service which allows homeless adults with serious mental illness to gain the social and communication skills necessary to allow them to remain in or return to naturally occurring community settings. Homeless Outreach Outreach services involves interim case management, and are provided on Kauai, Oahu, Maui and Kona for homeless adults with mental illness to receive behavioral health and other services, including entitlements and assistance to permanent supported housing. Referral For more information, please call (808) 737-2523. Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR). Group skill building activities that focus on the development of problem-solving techniques; social skills; medication education; vocational skills, and symptom management. A plan of care is developed for each person that targets skills necessary for more independent living. The PSR program provides meals for homeless adults with mental illness as well as transportation to and from the service for those who do not have access to transportation.
